Hello All!

I’d first like to welcome all new students, family and faculty and welcome back all those returning to Bowers Elementary.  I am so excited and full of energy about my first year as your elected PTA President.   As president, my primary function is to advocate for our children’s need as well as parental concerns and faculty needs.  Many of you may be aware of the financial challenge many  schools including ours will face this year.   Our board is also sensitive to the challenges our families have been facing for the last few years but there are still many financial expenses we must support in order to provide a more enriching educational environment to all of our students.  

With this in mind, we are asking all families to support the key programs that provide funds to the group.  The first and most profitable programs are the eScrip and S.H.A.R.E.S programs.  Both programs register your grocery club card (eScrip – all Safeway and PaknSave affiliates and S.H.A.R.E.S to all Lucky and SaveMart affiliates).   Once you’ve registered your card, these stores will donate 3-10% of your grocery bill each time you use it!   You can even register your child’s grandparents, aunts, neighbors, and anyone who has an interest in supporting their education.  Check for the link on the PTA "Show Your Support" page or look for information coming home soon in your PTA Welcome Back Packet.

More information on non-monetary ways of supporting the PTA will be posted and sent home in your child’s Wednesday Envelope for you to consider soon.  We thank you in advance for your support and hope you have a great year!
